PUTTING MIAMI ON THE PUNK ROCK
One new band Top Tier is trying to the Magic City on the punk rock map.
“Over it” is the latest track to drop from the group.
“Felix, that was one of his first songs he wrote,” said vocalist Chris Tamez. “We got together like three years back it started with some ramblings we had on a notebook we ran a little demo.”
Furthermore, he added “That original demo the video is just us sitting in a dorm on a Facebook group we don’t use anymore.”
Although the band might fresh to some, the member have been writing music are amped to release it.
“We want to bring our better songs back to life. We found the song and lyrics go hand and hand. Why I let something collect dust and not get to get use. We put pen to paper,” Tamez said.
The band has been inspired from legendary bands such us Sum 41, New Found Glory, Yellow Card, Fallout Boy and Green Day.
Originally known as Heroes and Traders, the group met at Miami Christian School.
Since then, the group has performed at several locations.
BROTHERHOOD
Tamez noted that the group is more than just singing.
“What I love about this band. We are a brother hood. We are knuckleheads who like to mess around. We push each other. I didn’t have brothers I had an older sister and I got this out of this,” he said.
