Mexican luchador and newly signed TNA Impact wrestling wrestler Tigre Uno hopes to bring the Mexican luchalibre style to the promotion.

He has a chance to do so with his debut at this weekend’s pay-per-view Lockdown at the BankUnited Center, 1245 Dauer Dr. in Coral Gables. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are on sale. The show airs on pay-per-view at 8 p.m.

“It is an honor to wrestle in Miami for the first time,” he said in an interview with The Roman Show in Spanish. ”I hope to have great results and come out with a victory.”

Tigre Uno will Manik inside a steel cage. He is ready to debut the Mexican luchalibre style to the United States and in TNA.

“We come to bring Mexican luchalibre, which is different,” he said. “We have speed, aerial moves, strength. It is a mix and I bring it.”

Prior to TNA Impact Wrestling, he conquered several titles for the Mexican promotion AAA. He was trained by the Mexican legend Rey Misterio Sr., who he recalls was a tough teacher.

“He was a tough teacher,” he said. “It was tough to adapt and train. He taught me everything I need to know about a ring.”

He is known for his aerial moves and his Sabertooth Splash (450º splash) and other moves like a diving guillotine and moonsault.

He is proud to represent Latin Americans and says he is looking forward to seeing many at the arena.

“I hope to have la raza’s support,” he said. “Anything can happen that night.”

Tickets are on sale.
