Tecia Torres Interviewed By The Roman Show
Tecia Torres says she would face a teammate but a title would have to be on the line.
Torres (5-0) is getting ready to compete against Angela Hill (2-0) on the UFC 188 fight card in Mexico City June 13.
With word of number ranked women’s straw weight and American Top Team teammate Jessica Aguilar, Torres says she would fight a colleague but unless there was a title on the line.
The Roman Show caught up with the undefeated straw weight.
“I don’t think we would fight each other unless it was for the belt,” she said.
There are other ATT women also in the UFC straw weight division.
Torres says she has looked up to Aguilar and has taken much advice to develop her fight game.
Meanwhile, she says she would have preferred a top ranked fighter but she is grateful to compete. Torres added that she will display a well-rounded work.
“She likes to strike like I do. She’s a strong Muay Thai girl am a kickboxer,” she said. “I am more diverse. Ill show the people diversity.”
Before getting word of competing against Hill, she had her eyes set on Jessica Penne, who is the number one contender and will fight against UFC women’s straw weight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
