A little piece of Argentine Rock is coming to South Florida thanks to bilingual singer Sonia.
Argentine Rocker Sonia, whose music is influenced by Artic Monkeys, Weezer, The Ramones and others, will hit the stage at the Paseo de las Artes Miami, 3635 NW 78 Avenue, Doral, FL. She will be on tour across Miami, FL. Visit her social media accounts for details.
Sonia, born in Buenos Aires, joined The Roman Show to talk about her tour. She also said how rock is ever so popular in Argentina.
“There are great rock and roll bands in Latin America,” she said. “It is one of the many genres we play. There is a rock scene especially in the capital, but all over the country. For me it is easy to play.”

Punk has been picking up steam considering bands like Green Day and Blink-182 have recently released successful albums.
“I was a big fan of The Ramones. They were big in Argentina just like the Rolling Stones. At that time, I was young and I went to their concerts. I listen to Ramones, Green Day, Weezer, Iggy Pop.”
Sonia will be releasing her new EP, “Welcome on board” recorded in California. Her third full album “Especial” will be released later this year.
