Canada’s Ryan Ford (21-4) has recuperated from a hand injury and he is ready to debut in the World Series of Fighting with hopes of becoming the promotion’s Candadian welterweight champion.
Ford meets Joel Powell (7-3) Feb. 21 in Edmonton Alberta, Canada at the Edmonton Expo Centre and he says he is not walking out of the cage empty handed.
“I see myself with my hand raised and a strap around my waist,” he said in an interview on The Roman Show.
Both Ford and Powell are on a winning streak. Ford hasn’t fought since last month due to a hand injury, but he says he is in “beast mode”.
“I broke my arm,” he said. “I fought five rounds with a busted arm and won the AFL title that time off gave me time to recover.”
Ford also discusses his time in Bellator, working out at Tri Star with the likes of Georges St. Pierre, and more.
