Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight Ricardo Lamas is fresh off a victory against Dennis Bermudez in a first round submission victory, but he already has his eyes on his next prey.
In an exclusive interview with The Roman Show, Lamas said he wants Ireland’s and outspoken fighter Conor McGregor.
“I don’t hate the guy. Every reporter asks me about him,” he said. “So am like ‘you know what, I don’t want to be asked about him anymore so lets have a fight’,” he said. “I think the UFC matches him up with people who match his style. They don’t match him up with someone who will take him down. I think that’s the hole in his game. His wrestling isn’t sharp. I want to beat him and humble him.”
However, if the UFC doesn’t give him McGregor, he says he is ready to take on anyone.
“I welcome a fight with anyone. Mcgregor said some nasty stuff on social media,” he said. “Chad Mendes…Ill take on Frankie Edgar. He fights well. He is constantly well. He breaks down fighters mentally. Frankie would be a fun fight. Am an exciting fighter and he is too so we would put on a good fight.”
But looking at all three opponents, one will be the easiest for him he said.
“Out of the three McGregor would be an easy fight for me,” he said.
Lamas also spoke about the UFC’s first visit to Mexico, acting and more.
