Relent vocalist Miggy says the band’s music helped him and others overcome adversity.
The Texas heavy metal band has been featured on Sirius XM Octane and has caught the eye of metal heads.
Formed in the early 2016, Miggy says he wants to help those who are challenged by personal obstacles.
Hitting the metal charts, Low, the band’s hit single, targets several topics.
“Low takes you to a place of depression and suicide, which is very real especially with what is going on in the world today,” he said.
MEANING BEHIND LYRICS
He later added, ”I try to be real with our lyrics. I don’t thing we talk about it enough.”
Furthermore, the band released their album Heart Attack available now for streaming.
Their music can be compared to the sounds of Saliva, Nonpoint or P.O.D. and feature elements of hard rock and nu metal.

FAITH BASED
A testament to his everyday battle, Miggy says he lyrics are a reminder of what he goes through.
“Honestly I battle every day people like to see people with success or have a platform I struggle daily. I know I am not alone. I want people to know people aren’t alone,” he said.
Not shy about it, he hopes people aren’t afraid to voice what they are going through.
“It’s an everyday thing, but one thing people know is we are upfront about our faith and about what we believe.
SPANISH INFLUENCED
Moreover, he said, “Everyone in the band has had an amazing encounter with God.”
Due to the pandemic, the band has been unable to tour as expected but new music is expected this year including a Spanish song.
