Professional Fighters League newcomer Jordan Young opens up in the promotion’s new digital series “Prep Point”.
On this week’s episode of The Roman Show, Young spoke about participating in the new series.
WHAT TO EXPECT
“You can learn some fun facts and learn something you don’t know of me,” he said.
Furthermore, he said “Things like you wouldn’t assume of me. I was not prepared for the episode somethings caught me off guard.”
Young joined PFL after an impressive 6-1 run with Bellator. Prior to his first career loss (11-1), Young reeled off five-straight submission victories.
The series is hosted by former WWE announcer turned PFL in-cage announcer Lilian Garcia.
INTERVIEWS
An American top Team standout, Young trains with the likes of Jorge Masvidal, Amanda Nunes and PFL women’s lightweight champion Kayla Harrison.
With no word yet on when PFL will continue it’s tournament, he looks forward to competing in the league’s season format for the light heavyweight title and million-dollar prize.
COVID 19
Just like everyone in the world, Young held back from full training thanks to Covid-19.
Living in South Florida, he took advantage of the great weather and trained outdoors.
However, American Top Team later opened their gym to allow small group training.
At the same time, he was recuperating from a surgery.
During the pandemic, he has been staying busy reading books and continuing to evolve in mixed martial arts.
So far, all the names of the competitors which will form part of the tournament have not been released.
