Five years was worth the wait for Saints of Death fans.
Vancouver’s Saints of death released their new album “Ascend to The Thorne” available now on streaming services.
Vocalist Twan Holliday, Juan Helluva, Ashley Blue and Christopher James make up the band.
REASON FOR TIME OFF
“We toured on the first self-titled EP for a year (2015) and a half then there were member changes,” he said. “We were becoming an international band.”
Furthermore, he elaborated, “When you are starting out there are a lot of things that people need to process. We had member issues about taking to the next level.”
ALBUM SIGNIFICANCE
Since 2018, the band has been together traveling and hitting the road to perform in several places around the globe.
Moreover, James said the album includes various lyrics.
“Not every song is about one thing a lot of the songs is about working toward your goal and achieving,” he said. “Some of it talks about mental health. It talks about mental health and seeing light in the dark.”
Comprising tracks that the band has wanted to release for a long time, it has been a waiting game until the right guys were in line to bring them to fruition.
For those unfamiliar with the band, fans of Pantera, DevilDrive or Arch Enemy will find Saints of Death right up their alley.
MORE MUSIC
Although the pandemic has put the breaks on touring, fans won’t have to wait any longer for new material.
“We have our own studio. Now that the album is set we have developed four songs already for the next album,” James said.
