Former Major League Wrestler Ricky Martinez says he asked for his release from the promotion due to disagreements.
Martinez spoke to The Roman Show after his bought at Sweetwater Pro Wrestling. The Miami born wrestler said he is grateful for the opportunity offered by MLW.
“Me and MLW parted ways,” he said. “I asked for my release. They granted it for me. I don’t have a lot for me going on now. My fiancé is pregnant. I will have a boy so my life will revolve around that. I have a show on February 15 working in Orlando for USA Pro Wrestling. I am working Carlito. I am looking forward to that.”
Till this day, the Gangrel Asylum attendee said that he is considers MLW a family.
“MLW helped me take my career go to the next level. I worked with great people like Low Ki, my best friend Salina, Fatu, Teddy Heart, Davey Boy Smith Jr. to name just a few. MLW is family. MLW took me to the next level and taught me about the business. I want to thank Court Bauer and MSL. It is the best thing that happened.
He elaborated why the separation.
“MLW had some discussions,” he said. It wasn’t working towards the end. I am not saying nothing bad about the office guys just some of the things I didn’t agree with, you know.”
The Pitbull Sicario said he has no plans for now, but is keeping his schedule opened for Wrestlemania weekend, which is in home state of Florida. Wrestlemania takes place April in Tampa.
