Miami, FL- The Miami Sharks rugby team is ready for their second season and the team is more than determined to win it all.

The team went 6-10 in the inaugural season and on the hunt for their first win in the second year of the team.

This Sunday, the team faces NOLA Gold at Baptist Health Community Field, 306 NW 56 Street, in Fort Lauderdale.

Miami Sharks player Alex Tucci is amped for the new season. He spoke to The Roman Show about the upcoming season.

“The positive is very attitude. Taking it back to how we trained this past month. You see the chemistry it seems we came back stronger,” he said. “For a second-year team, people know each other. We know how the system is terminology. Things are running smoother. First year teams you never know with obstacles that we are going to have. But this year we show up and get to work.”

He said new players have joined the team, some of which he is familiar with as he played with them when he played for the Dallas Jackals.

Tucci also has advice for those who don’t know the rules of the game.

“What I tell people cause I do personal training in Boca Raton up in Lifetime, on the side and I tell them, come watch rugby and I guarantee you that you’ll be locked in on the game that you won’t know the thing you got to know pass backward kick forward and kind of score like American football in the end zone. Just go watch the game. There are fans sitting next to you that can explain the game,” he said.
