Miami, FL- In a few weeks, one of the largest electronic music festivals will take over Miami, but before the ground starts vibrating, the Magic City’s first annual Little Jam Fest will entertain the little ones.
The event takes place Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Jungle Island, 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami, Fl starting at 1 p.m.
Legendary children’s musician Laurie Berkner will close off the event. She will bring her “Greatest Hits” solo concert to Miami.
“It’s the first year of the event. I think it is going to be incredible. I know the organizer well. She always puts on great events,” she said in an interview with The Roman Show.
She said the event will be filled of activities throughout the day. But when she comes on stage, she wants to make sure all attendees have their dancing shoes.
“For my part, I’ll do my solo show. People know my music if they don’t’ know music they are all very interactive. I encourage kids to move all the time. I will play new songs. Hopefully, a lot of fun and great memories,” she said.
She may even put a Latin flavor to her songs including her top hit, “We are Dinosaurs”. She welcomes the energy by the fans.
“During the show it will be me singing inviting the kids to do something form jumping, clapping, acting things out. They will be engaged. There will be arts and crafts activities. There will be lot of food,” she said.
Throughout 2024, Laurie celebrates the 25th anniversary of her third album, Victor Vito. A fully remastered, 25th anniversary special edition of the album will be released on June 7, 2024.
“I take a lot of care to write music from the perspective of a child. It makes a difference when kids hear music like that and then they sing it themselves. They feel ownership to it,” she said.
