Undefeated mma fighter Jorge Moreno (4-0) will have his hardest task this weekend inside the cage.
The son of Mexicans, Moreno steps inside the cage against Russian Abubakar
Nurmagomedov (9-1) who makes his debut on the upcoming World Series of Fighting WSOF 22 fight card airing live on NBC Sports Saturday, August 1. Nurmagomedov is the brother of UFC top star Khabib Nurmagomedov.
“There’s no comparison. They are brothers,” Moreno said. “I think he has a lot of hype behind him and that’s ok.”
The young Moreno is only 19 years-old, but his age is just a number and he is ready to prove to the world that he shouldn’t be taken lightly.
“I don’t take anything away from him. He is a fighter,” he said. “When we enter the cage I know we will give a good fight.”
Moreno, was born in Los Angeles, but raised in Washington state, and he predicts a tough fight.
“I don’t see his weaknesses,” he said. “I see mine. He is aggressive like and so am I.”
Moreno started competing at the young age of 14. At first, his parents weren’t supportive of his decision.
“I trained to get out of problems. It was hard at first,” he said. “My father didn’t want me to fight. But finally he accepted and was present at my fights. I sometimes had to lie to him.”
