Happy and Confident JDS ready for title shot

Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos (18-4) says that if he recaptures the gold, opponents have to wait in life for a title shot.

Dos Santos faces heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic (16-2) at the upcoming UFC 211’s main event in Dallas, Texas and live on pay-per-view, Saturday, May 13.

It is the second meeting between the two, with Dos Santos coming out on top by way of decision in the first bout.

Dos Santos joined The Roman Show and said that he has been frustrated recently. He last fought back in April of 2016. The American Top Team had some potential opponents lined up, but they dropped out that’s why he feels, as champion, upcoming foes should line up for their title shot.

“Get back in the line and wait for your chance,” he said. “I was upset. But now it doesn’t matter. I am fighting the best heavyweight and I’ll beat him.”
