Former Eskimo Callboy singer Sebastian “Sushi” Biesler’s GhostKid is a result of turning frustrations into something positive.
DARKNESS
Sushi’s music is the contrary to what he was accustomed to taking his sounds darker and aggressive.
The Roman Show spoke to him prior to the release of the band’s self debut album November 13.
“The reason I stared (the band was because) I wasn’t feeling that comfortable with Eskimo Callboy,” he said. “When we dropped the last record I realized I had to do something and do music on my own.”
He later added,” I picked up my guitar and reanimated my old stuff and it felt like it was something meaningful.”
MUSIC HURTS
Creating the band was a form of catharsis, he added.
“Eskimo was my job. I got something that paid my bills, but I wasn’t happy on the other side I got something that I missed along time.”
Furthermore he stated, “I had to make a decision and work my ass off and wrote an album on my own”
RESEMBLANCE
Already, the track “SUPERNOVA” featuring Marcus Bischoff of Heaven Shall Burn has picked up steam in the streaming platforms.
Jonny 3 Tears also collaborates with Ghøstkid.
The band resembles sounds of Bring Me The Horizon and A Day to Remember.
A look at the band’s musical videos you’ll notice that for Sushi his music is more than just lyrics.
“When I write songs is like I am making a movie,” he said.
