Duffy and Artemij Sitenkov are the only two men to defeat McGregor, who has made a name for himself thanks to his comments and hype. McGregor will fight champion Jose Aldo in December in a title unification fight.
The American Top Team standout fought McGregor last year, but was knocked out in the first round.
But if he ever wants revenge against McGregor he has to get a win over Duffy.
“It’s crazy,” he said. He finished guys in the UFC by first round knockout and that’s impressive.”
However he is aware that he will fight in enemy territory and he is all open to the challenge.
“That excites me,” he said. “I am at a point in my career where I get up and think about the fight. I accept the challenges. I can’t wait to fight. I want to fight already.”
Duffy made his debut in March and his last fight was in July.
Although McGregor defeated Poirier by knockout in the first round, he is convinced that the day will come when he will one day meet McGregor inside the octagon once again in the lightweight division.
“He is young,” he said. ”I think he will make the switch.”
