Hialeah’s Christian Ynastrilla (5-1) said he is a phone call away if Titan FC wants him to fight on the February card.
In December, Ynastrilla made his Titan FC debut against an undefeated John Arce (4-2) by way of unanimous decision. The event aired live on UFC Fight Pass and is available for stream now.
Right before the end of 2019, he spoke to The Roman Show right after his victory and he said he is ready for action if the opportunity is available.
“My shin is a little bruised up. I want to be an active fight this year (2020). I want three or four at the end,” he said.
Moreover, he added, “I am feeling great, coming in I knew he was a tough guy. He was undefeated. He had that undefeated swagger. I was happy for the win. The nerves were high going into the fight.”
Prior to the the fight, he knew that Titan FC provides a major platform for fighters. But in retrospect, he recalled the sequence of his fight.
“I felt like I hurt him in the first round,” he said. “I was heading a little too much in the second and in the third round I felt like I took over.”
The American Top Team (ATT) standout said that he has received messages from outside the country congratulating him for his fight.
“People from Poland and other parts of Europe messaged me telling me that they liked the fight,” he said.
Prior to his Titan FC, he competed for local promotions, but his journey into mixed marital arts started when he trained Taekwondo at 13.
“At 16 or 17 I saw Georges St. Pierre,” he said. “I remembered watching him and I fell in love watching someone that can kick, punch, apply submissions and wrestle. I trained at a boxing gym. I wasn’t grappling. I took a fight. Then I went to ATT.”
He also talked about managing to be a fighter and working a day job. Hear the complete interview available for stream now on Spotify, iTunes, Blogtalk radio, Launchpad or on our site.
