THE BAND
The band says the song is about an “honest message about what you go through in a damaged and tragic relationship…”
Formed in 2015, the band has the sounds of Killswitch Engage, Trivium and Protest the Hero.
Composed of Roland Velazquez (vocals), Jonathan Rivera (bass) and Dimitri Anchipolovsky (guitar), the band formed in 2015.
“AVAT is an acronym for a victim a target,” the band said. “We came to the decision to change the name to finalize the band as it is now.”
Furthermore, the band said, “We enjoy metal and all aspects of it, thrash , the earlier screamo days and alternative rock.
ORIGINS
In the beginning, the band had hardcore vibes, but they enjoy having their current progressive sounds which culminates all of the members’ taste.
REVOLVER magazine described the trio as a hard-hitting band, while saying fans of heavy music will find themselves drawn to the group’s hooks.
Other singles include Together We Fall, Wolves and Brenna released in 2017.
COVID-19 hasn’t stopped the band from working hard.
In fact, the band has produced several music along with videos which will be released soon.
“All the songs are different stages of our writing ability,” the band said. “We won’t release anything until we find that sound to release on you guys.”
The band also speaks about how they came together, the Miami metal scene and how a former band teacher watched them perform live.
