Invicta FC fighter Andrea Lee is confident after receiving her first defeat and she is ready to prove it against her upcoming foe.
Lee (2-1) takes on Rachael Ostovich (2-1) at tonight’s Invicta FC airing on UFC Fight Pass.
Lee returns to mma action after her loss in December to Roxanne Modafferi. The Louisiana fighter lost by split decision. She said she took time off to heal her body.
“I had a ruptured ear drum. I had to get my ear drum repaired,” she said in an exclusive interview with The Roman Show. “I had to get my eye fixed. I had bad vision. We had done both at the same time.
I had two surgeries. I had a fight in July a kickboxing fight.”

Mentally, there has been some challenges after her surgery.
“You get a little paranoid when you spar,” she said. “It is good now. I can get hit in it.”
Regardless, Lee said she is secure thanks to the loss.
“She was a jump in my career. She is a UFC veteran. She had been fighting a lot longer. I learned I can compete with the highest athletes in the world with a ruptured ear drum. I had an ear infection. It gives me a lot of confidence.”
When it comes to tonight’s opponent, Lee says she won’t take her lightly.
“Rachel is a lot shorter than I am,” she said. “She’s a wrestler. I won’t take her
lightly on the ground. My take down defense was there against Roxanne.”
