There have been many movies based on pro-wrestling some have even been nominated for the Academy Awards.
But none have a strong cult following and that’s what A Pro-Rasslin’ Movie: The Legend of Dirty Ron is aiming for.
The independent flick is in production, but filmmakers are asking for the pro wrestling community’s financial support to complete the film.
ABOUT THE FILM
Co-creator Mickey Gordan joined The Roman Show to talk about the film.
“It’s our love letter to the world of pro wrestling. I am 37 years-old and a S*^tt# independent wrestler and my mom was a pro wrestler. I watched all the WrestleMania’s live. Pro wrestling is my life,” he said.
The film features known pro wrestlers like Rob Van Dam, Victoria and more.
THE STORY
Ron is the Son of the world’s most famous Fast Food Mascot and the Black Sheep of his family. After getting fired from the from the family business, Ron gets discovered by a former Pro-Wrestling Champ, played by Rob Van Dam, down on his luck.

THE PLAN
The movie will not be streamed or shown in theaters. Gordan said there’s a plan on how fans can watch it.
“We are not going to stream it or show it in theaters,” he said. “We are going to pair up with independent promotions to screen the movie in the local market.”
He also said the stars from the movie will be at each screening.
